RISE is a Christian nonprofit with a mission to Educate, Encourage, and Empower men and women to rise above their circumstances to self-sufficiency.

We accomplish this through intentional, relationship-based programs designed to support the whole person.

THRIVE Program (Core Program)

Our THRIVE program is an 8-week class experience followed by 9 months of mentorship and continued support.

During the 8-week program, participants engage in a variety of subjects including character development, job readiness, financial management, goal setting, and essential life skills. Each class is designed to build confidence, provide practical tools, and help participants take meaningful steps toward a stable future.

After completing the class portion, participants enter a 9-month mentorship phase, where they are paired with a mentor who provides ongoing encouragement, accountability, and guidance as they continue working toward their personal and professional goals.

Adult Literacy Program

RISE also offers an Adult Literacy Program, providing one-on-one instruction for individuals who want to improve their reading and comprehension skills.

​

Participants meet once a week with a trained instructor in a personalized setting that allows for individualized learning, focused skill development, and encouragement in a supportive environment.

This program helps build a strong foundation for further education, employment opportunities, and everyday life.

Support Services & Resources

RISE works in partnership with community organizations to ensure participants have the tools they need to succeed.

​

We provide transportation within a 3-mile radius to and from classes, including access to GED classes through Pearl River Community College (PRCC), if needed. We also provide meals during class sessions and assist participants with accessing important resources such as identification, education, job training, and employment opportunities.

Our goal is to remove barriers so participants can fully focus on their growth, their goals, and their future.
